Rock to Rocque 2015
We are delighted to be again supporting the annual Rock to Rocque Bike ride which takes place on Sunday 24th May with all the proceeds going to Les Bourgs Hospice. Organisers are beavering away behind the scenes and hope to top last year’s fundraising total of £40,000.
Vantage has been involved with designing and creating the event logo and all the support material – sponsorship forms, flyers, adverts and website banners.
So if you fancy doing something really worthwhile for a charity that touches so many people in Guernsey, sign up online here. Online registration is open until midnight on 21st May and of course people can also just turn up and register on the day. The ride starts at the top of Les Val Des Terres with additional start points at Rocquaine and Grand Rocque for those with less energy or less time, making the event an ideal family day out as well as offering something for the more serious cycling enthusiast.
Everyone finishes at North Beach where you can enjoy a well-deserved BBQ and even a soft tissue massage courtesy of Avenue Clinic to help your weary legs back to full recovery.
The event again coincides with the last day of Ian Brown’s 30/30 Challenge when cyclists ride for one hour every day for 30 days which also raises money for Les Bourgs Hospice. And Ian Brown is again generously donating two mountain bikes as prizes in a draw for any Rock to Rocque rider who raises more than £100 in sponsorship.
So if you can’t make the ride itself you could sponsor someone else to help them towards their £100 target.
At a glance – starting points and times:
- 0845 – Park and Ride field at the top of Les Val des Terres
- 0945 – Rocquaine – in the car park near Cup and Saucer
- 1045 – Grandes Rocques
- All riders should be back at the North Beach by 1500
Get pedalling for charity and see you on 24th May!
